And while you look forward to starting your New Year, fulfilling your resolutions and all that. Consider these podcasts that may assist with creating, implementing, and fulfilling your goals and dreams going forward.

Whatever your resolutions.  Whatever your goals, dreams or bucket list.  The below list of podcasts is a great starting point to help you pivot in the direction you so earnestly seek.

One of my goals is to start a podcast.  While I prepare my first 3 episodes, I listen to the below experts.  I hope you find them as inspiring as I have.  You will receive a lot of useful information from them.  And, you will be tempted to just start anywhere.  But you have to start from the beginning.  Episode 1. Otherwise you will lose the value of the entire series.

More importantly, you will miss the essence, the very heart and soul of these podcast hosts.

  1. The Charged Life by Brendon Burchard.  Author of New York bestseller The Motivation Manifesto among others, coach and what you could call a younger version of Tony Robbins but so much more.  This guy has almost 4 million likes on his Facebook page!

  3. Achieve Your Goals by Hal Elrod.  Founder of the Miracle Morning principle. Author of The Miracle Morning book series.  Hal is witty and uses the interview format.  He has overcome extreme odds. His courage is undeniable.
  4. This is Your Life by Michael Hyatt.  This one contain my favorite Intro   music.  Former Thomas Nelson Publisher CEO and NYT best selling author of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World.  Another great source for help in writing and getting published.

On My Bookshelf: The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

Books I'm Reading to Improve my Life

The Miracle Morning

I just finished reading The Miracle Morning: The Not-so-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life Before 8:00am by Hal Elrod for the second time.  Hal is one of my favorite influencers.

His story is inspiring.  His method is simple. I practice The Miracle Morning (TMM) but use it more as a catalyst for good daily habits.

What is TMM? It is a series of morning rituals you can practice to gain more clarity in your life.  It’s a way to practice habits that bring your goals into focus.  Say for example you are a writer.  Hal’s TMM gives you a strategy to practice writing every morning for about 20 minutes.

Here’s how it works: He uses the acronym S.A.V.E.R.S. to keep us in tuned with the strategy. Silence. Affirmation. Visualization. Exercise. Reading. Scripting (writing).  By incorporating this series of activities into a daily morning routine, you can bring yourself to a higher consciousness while doing activities that further your practice.

Hal has built his platform on TMM. His podcast, Achieve Your Goals is one I listen to regularly.  The Best Year Ever Blueprint is a live event.  These are just two of the ways in which he spreads his message to those who are interested in taking their life to a higher level.

I am grateful to use not only my successes, but also my failures, to help others in a way that can empower them to overcome their own limitations and achieve more than they ever thought possible. Hal Elrod

If you are feeling sorry for yourself this might be the perfect book for you right now.  Because Hal has overcome an amazingly devastating personal tragedy.

If you are searching for a way to discover your purpose then you will need to read this book.

What I’m Reading — The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard

& Is Fear Your Anchor

Reading by JRosemrie

I’m reading a lot more lately. Multiple books at a time.  If I really like the book, I will download the audio version, if available.

So I try not to complain too much about the subway delays because that’s an advantage to an avid reader like myself.  As you can imagine, I’m getting a lot of reading time lately.

The Motivation Manifesto – 9 Declaration to Claim Your Personal Power takes you through what seems like a sermon, a declaration, if you will.  Sometimes I feel like I’m reading the scriptures. Other times I feel like I’m listening to Abraham Lincoln reading the Declaration of Independence.

Regardless, by reading this book I’m able to visualize my possibilities.  But enough about the book. Read it if you want.

My current hunger for knowledge came when I realized a few months ago that life was happening to me.  I didn’t seem to have any control over decisions that affected me.  Not at home. Not in my personal space. And definitely not at work.

What is someone lacking the option only available to the well educated to do?  Do I just cower away, keep my head down and hope nobody notices me?

A big HELL NO! to that.

I began to do what I love. I began to read.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker;  The Millionaire Messenger by Brendon Burchard; The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod; The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey; Working Out Loud by John Stepper; The Passion Test by Janet & Chris Atwood;  How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie; 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller; Quitter by Jon Acuff.  I could keep going, but I hope you get the point.
